After playing Ibsen’s title character onstage, the actress now takes to the screen for Nia DaCosta’s adaptation. But if Hedda is played by Tessa Thompson, who is Hoss? Alex Barasch reports.

Costume designer Lindsay Pugh, production designer Cara Brower, and composer Hildur Guðnadóttir tell IndieWire how they turned Nia DaCosta's adaptation of the Henrik Ibsen play into a riot.

Production designer Cara Brower tells IndieWire about designing a manor house that its entirely Hedda's world, but not a home.

IndieWire Honors: Thompson also talks about her co-star's grand entrance in the film, a party scene in which Thompson was literally rigged on a dolly to gravitate toward Hoss.

"It's been done a million times before. Give us something new," said Thompson to IndieWire, of the spirit that drove her and DaCosta's audacious new film adaptation of the canonical Ibsen play.

IndieWire Honors: The Spotlight Award recipient was celebrated for her unique role in Nia DaCosta's striking drama, based on Henrik Ibsen's revered play.
